And there’s yet another ultrasound on the way…

That’s right, no joke, another ultrasound.  I guess I hate to sound like I am tired of getting a sneak peak at the little one, but I kind of am.  On Thursday, Shannon and I went for the 29 week appointment.  As reported earlier, we had an ultrasound at 27 weeks to look at the cyst on Emme’s head which had resolved itself.  At my latest appointment my doctor informs me that the babies kidneys are a little bit enlarged and they want to take another look at them in 4 weeks.  So, you guessed it, another ultrasound on December 4th.  I will be 33 weeks pregnant at that point!  I guess I have become so used to the ultrasounds that I don’t freak out anymore.  Afterall, this will be my 6th ultrasound.  I’m definitely anxious to see how big the baby has gotten, her weight, height, and everything else.  All complaining aside, if there is a problem with the kidneys, my doctor seemed to think that it would be a very minor process to fix.  She said sometimes they even do surgeries in-utero.  I’m not so sure about that being minor, but I’ll take her word for it.

Shannon is in Dallas/Fort-Worth this weekend for several concerts.  While he has been in town, he has been able to spend time with my family and they are always a big help in getting him to and from the airport and loaning him a vehicle.  He left Thursday and will return Monday.  This is his second weekend on the road in a row and two more weekends on the road follow this trip.  He will be taking Thanksgiving weekend off to spend time with my family who is traveling to us this year.  I’ll have to admit, it’s getting harder for me when he is out of town.  I know things will slow down soon, and I am defnitely grateful for those who keep him on the road, but I sure do enjoy his company now that I don’t really want to get out much.  Things just aren’t as easy as they were a few months ago.  I know it’s only a brief time and things will be back to normal, but life’s kind of a pain right now.  Enough complaining, right?

It seems unreal that the holidays are upon us yet again.  I don’t feel like it’s been a year since I carved a turkey!  Thanksgiving and Christmas are my absolute favorite times of the year.  We have SO much to be thankful for, not to mention the food is wonderful too!  All the little things that go in to planning the holidays are what makes it special for me.  I can’t miss a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parage, and Honey Baked Ham is an absolute necessity on both days.  It seems weird that next year we’ll be spending our season with another Bunch, and she’ll be almost a year old!

If you haven’t looked at the trees lately, check them out.  Fall is another one of God’s little blessings and I think this might be the most beautiful year in Tennessee for me so far.  The foliage this year is absolutely stunning!   I guess that’s enough rambling for tonight, it’s late here and Walter has beat me to bed.  I’ve got to catch up, or he’ll be in a panic!  Until the next time….
